Our Aims & Values
Our Values
We promote six values through our ‘rainbow groups’ headed by Year 6 children:
- kindness
- respect
- aspiration
- resilience
- integrity
- collaboration
Our values are promoted through all our work in school: curriculum; assemblies; social times. Children are encouraged to promote the values in all their work and interactions with others.
Within our school community we have the expectation that everyone (staff, pupils and parents) promotes aspiration and ambition; encourage others to learn and be the best they can be; celebrate all achievements and recognise their importance to the individual.
Our rainbow curriculum is designed by the leadership team and sessions are led by the children.
Our Strategic Aims for 2024-25
- For individual pupils, Key Stage 2 assessements in reading, writing, mathematics and SPAG show that pupils have met the national expectation or, if not, made excellent progress from their starting point.
- High quality teaching via metacognitive practices and excellent leadership across all subject areas ensure that pupils have the knowledge and skills they require to access the next stages of their education.
- Pupils in the early years make excellent progress from their starting points, in line with the statutory framework.
- Pupils develop their own character and develop a resilience that will support them to confidently take on the next stages of their education and life.
